Donation Bag-Check!

God is good!  I have a full 50 lb bag stuffed with donations! Thanks to the generosity of others, here is what I have...

10 Bottle of Antibiotics
Bandaids
5 Soccer Balls
Tons of coloring books
Crayon's
Markers
Small purses/bags
Little toy cars etc.
Card games
School Supplies
Bubbles
Small toy balls
Play Dough
1,000 Stickers
200 Pieces of Candy

I am also so grateful for those who have contributed money to help purchase items when we get over there.  I will be able to spend $300 to fulfill the needs that we will assess once we get to the orphanages. It feels good to be able to support their economy and buy items that would others wise be costly and expensive to ship and/or take.  More than likely we will be purchasing formula, furniture, food, livestock etc.

Recently I was sent a few pictures from one of the orphanages that we will be visiting. (Keep reading to see the pictures!)  The Noel Orphanage in Rwanda is the largest in the country.  600 kids live there!  Seeing these pictures already breaks my heart.  They have very little furniture (hopefully we can help with that), the older girls are in major need of clothes and underwear.  Right now there are about 200 babies there, so the need for formula and diapers is just so great.  I pray that we can provide some, if not all of their present needs.

I leave you for now with some pictures of the sweet little ones living at the Noel Orphanage in Rwanda.  I simply cannot wait to see these sweet little children's faces when we bless them with God's love and all the donations that everyone is bringing.  Thank you for your love and support.
Much LOVE and PEACE- J

Grateful Beginings

Uganda 2008

Hi Friends and Family, welcome to my blog.  The place where I will try my best to communicate the joys, struggles, revelations, desperation and love that will be experienced on my upcoming mission to Ethiopia and Rwanda, Africa.

In 20 days I will be traveling with Visiting Orphans,  a Christian Ministry dedicated to enhancing the lives of God's children all around the world.  We will be traveling 10,000 miles to simply fill the need of LOVE.  Sure, we will have our bags stuffed with donations, but even more importantly our hearts filled with God's love to share with those precious little children.

This will be my second time serving in Africa and I am just so excited to get back, I have always felt like i left half my serving heart there.  My time there will be limited, but I hope and pray to fill the needs of many.  I have been collecting donations to take with me, stickers, school supplies, small toys, medicine, clothing, hygiene items, etc.  and I am so grateful for all those who have donated their time and resources.

I will my best to capture my time of there on this blog.  By posting pictures, videos and my thoughts I hope to share with you the journey that I pray will change theses sweet little orphan's lives forever.

Thank you for loving, supporting and believing in my call to help.  I love you all! PEACE
